Last week I spoke to my ex-girlfriend
And I asked her a really personal question.

I was with my girlfriend for 4 years.
As you can imagine I loved her a lot.
But unfortuntately in mid-2023 we ended up breaking up.
Like all healthy break-ups we kept in touch and saw each other a few times.
(I’m joking it wasn’t healthy please don’t do it.)
Things ended going tits up and long story short we ended up blocking each other on all socials.
But over Christmas we bumped into each other and realised we could both be adults and start to heal our wounds.
We became friends.
Christmas really is a magical time.
Anyway fast forward a few weeks and I her a question I’d been wondering about for months.
I wasn’t sure how to bring it up.
I didn’t want her to think I was jealous, or lonely etc.
But I plucked up the courage and asked:
“What do you do with your evenings now you don’t have a boyfriend.”
And the answer really shocked me.
It was really depressing.
She told me that she gets home from work, sits on the couch and watches TV.
She lives with 4 other people.
All university educated.
And they spend their evenings watching garbage on TV.
5 hours every single day wasted.
That’s 1825 hours a year.
This is your competition.
90% of the population waste their free time.
Imagine if she spent just 3 hours every evening learning a new skill.
Playing a sport.
Building a business.
What would her life look like in a years time?
I don’t need to tell you.
You already know.
You’re already trying to build the life of your dreams.
But sometimes I know it can be de-motivating seeing everyone around you win.
So remember,
If you’re trying. If you’re working.
You’re already doing better than my ex.
Better than 99% of people on Earth.
You are already winning.
Speak soon,
Chris
