It took me 2 months to figure out X so you don't have to.

How I grew my followers by 2,000%

It took me 2 months to get my first 47 followers.

In the next 2 months I hit 1000

Here's what I stopped doing to beat the competition:

1. I stopped focusing on my content

It sounds counter-intuitive but hear me out

Most beginners worry too much about their content.

Everyone wants that perfect post.

The most compelling long-form.

The most clickable email.

After 2 months of trying that I learnt a few things:

Firstly, that is never going to happen.

I'd been writing for 2 months but the experts had been writing for 20 years.

There's no way I would be a better writer than them, not yet anyway.

Wasting your time trying to get that perfect post will get you nowhere.

Instead focus your time on the things that will actually get you results.

If you have less than 10000 followers, you're better off spending your time in engaging and networking.

When I started to do that I began to get 100s of followers a week.

2. Network

I didn't DM anyone for 1.5 months.

Didn't hop on a call for 2.

But as soon as I started, I blew up.

If you don't know anyone on X, you will never grow.

It's that simple.

Think about it ...

If you have 0 followers, nobody is gonna see your post.

If nobody sees your post, nobody is gonna follow you.

Now imagine you DM 10 people, and started talking to 6 of them.

At a minumum 6 people will have now seen your post.

Probably dropped it a like and maybe even commented.

Now you’ve got your first followers.

Plus a few mates who will engage with all of your posts.

It's only up from there.

3. I stopped posting about stuff I didn't care about

This is what made the most difference for me.

At the start, writing felt like a chore.

I didn’t enjoy posting about productivity and time management.

It didn’t excite me.

I didn’t want to learn about it.

I didn’t want to post about it.

And funnily enough I didn’t grow much by writing about it.

My lack of interest showed.

The moment I started writing about stuff I actually cared about, I began to grow.

It was easier to learn.

Easier to write.

And easier to grow.

The moment I started showing some personality and making friends,

I started getting more and more followers.

That’s all for today you sexy legend.

I’ll be seeing you reaaaal soon.
